Fülldrähte unlegiert

Fülldrahtelektroden für das Schweißen un- und niedriglegierter Stähle lassen sich nach Art der Füllung in Metallpulvertypen und schlackenbildende Typen unterscheiden. Die Letztgenannten unterscheiden sich nach den Hauptbestandteilen ihrer Füllung noch einmal in rutile und basische Typen. Die wichtigsten Bestandteile der Metallpulvertypen sind Eisenpulver sowie Ferromangan und Ferrosilizium. Bei den schlackenbildenden Typen kommen noch mineralische Bestandteile wie Rutil, Quarz, Zirkoniumoxid und Ilmenit (Rutiltyp) oder Flussspat und Kalziumoxid (basischer Typ) hinzu. Das Eisenpulver sorgt für eine bessere Wärmeübertragung im Kern und dadurch für ein gleichmäßigeres Abschmelzen, Ferromangan und Ferrosilizium dienen als Desoxdiationsmittel. Anwendung findet diese Art von Fülldrähten z. B. im Stahl-, Schiffs- und Behälterbau sowie im Maschinen- und Rohrleitungsbau.
